Art Classes:

Portrait Drawing/Painting from the model

Work with a clothed live model. Use these sessions to hone your skills. This is not a class with an instructor, rather it is a chance for you to share in the cost of a model, learn from each other, and work in the medium of your choice in a creative environment.
Meets here at The Frame Gallery, 216 N. Bryan Ave., Downtown Bryan.
Every Wednesday afternoon, 1:30 - 4:30pm
Cost: Varies somewhat by number of participants any given month

Figure Drawing from the model
Learn to draw the human figure from a live model (either female or male, unclothed or clothed). Easels, small tables, friendly and constructive environment provided. Will start the session with quick poses, then work up to 20-30min poses.
Meets here at The Frame Gallery, 216 N. Bryan Ave., Downtown Bryan.
Every Wednesday evenng, 7 - 10pm

Jazz Night School - Musicians Wanted!!

Jazz 101 - Introduction to Jazz Improvisation
Join us every Monday from 7:30 – 9:00pm, September 12 - October 31, 2011
This class will provide an introduction to jazz improvisation. It includes chord theory, chord-scale relationships, basic chord progressions, and an understanding of the 12-bar blues form and fundamental music theory as applied to jazz improvisation. The class is open to all musicians.
Rehearsals are structured with individual attention—music and material assigned based on student levels and needs.
Tuition: $260 for 8 week course and final recital.

Intermediate-Advanced Jazz Ensemble Class
Join us every Tuesday from 7:30 9:30pm, September 13 - November 1, 2011
This class will provide a guided ensemble setting for intermediate, advanced, and seasoned players who want to develop their skills in the areas of jazz ensemble playing and jazz improvisation.
Come join the fun and build your performance skills in a guided rehearsal setting. Work on soloing, accompanying, and playing as a group. Music and material provided.
Tuition: $260 for 8 week course, including a final recital.
Note: This is an ensemble class, enrollment may be limited based on instrumentation needs.

Advanced Monthly Jazz Workshop
Join us on the third Saturday of each month from 11:00am – 3:00pm.
On-going monthly workshop designed for the experienced musicians who want to keep their playing skills sharp, improve, and play in a guided ensemble setting. Music provided.
Tuition: $60 per month
